We get asked a lot “What happens when all of you fight at once?”
The long and the short of it is – it depends on the day. Today was something special. Usually when we all argue with each other it is because we all are frustrated by different things. Today it was some blurry combination of not going to the beach on time, not paying the rent on time, being tired of working as hard as we do, and not understanding what the hell is wrong with the other people in the room.
It’s hard- fighting with anyone is hard.
How do you get out of it is the part that takes some real skills.
A) Listen- sounds like a DUH ! but it’s not. I have a hard time hearing what is frustrating to E or L and instead of hearing it, I try to immediately fix it. I have learned that the fix doesn’t negate the emotions. You gotta hear the emotions.
B) Don’t tag team each other- a lot of people think that because the three of us are a “Three” that we could simply solve issues with a two-to-one-vote. That’s the best way to ice someone out and cause more issues. Voting doesn’t mean listening. (Also we probably would have ended up with a one-to-one-to-one vote today and … that would have killed us.)
C) Cry… if you are me – the fish water sign- you are probs gonna cry.
D) Cuddle- at some point I need a good snuggle to feel like I am a human instead of a spiteful rage monster.
E and L would probably give you a completely different list but … I am writing so :P.
Did we make it to the beach?- yup and I am BROWN AF.
Are we still a trio?- Yup- E and L are watching BoJack Horseman and I am writing. (I hate this show).
So… three way fights happen. And you figure it out.
Oh we got rent paid- it was hard- HELLO -WHO WRITES CHECKS.
